What’S The Role?

As Senior Lawyer, you’ll provide high-quality legal advice and support to stakeholders across the Business Lending Line of Business.  

You will work on a broad range of matters including advising on regulatory matters, loan documents/collateral, marketing initiatives, product development and compliance incidents.

What do I need? 

• 10+ for Senior Lawyer PQE as a lawyer at a reputable law firm and/or in-house at a financial services institution, including with regulatory legal experience in a business lending context.
• Knowledge of (and ability to apply) relevant legislation and industry codes including Corporations Act, ASIC Act, Banking Code of Practice, National Consumer Credit Protection Act and National Credit Code, Privacy Act,regulatory guides, and familiarity with the general regulatory framework relevant to ADIs, including licensing and relevant Prudential Standards.
• Ability to provide commercial, outcomes-focussed legal advice.
• Ability to communicate concisely and with impact to senior business partners, tailoring for stakeholder requirements, seniority and forum.
