Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide timely responses to all participants who submit inquiries via email, direct call, or telephone inquiries escalated by the call center.
- Document all correspondence and coverage activities in the agency management system.
- Attend and participate in department meetings, team meetings, and training sessions as required.
Reimbursement Accounts
- Issue educational information to participants regarding their plan, including access and permissible use.
- Process enrollments, terminations, and approved mid-year election changes
- Review for accuracy and process all submitted Reimbursement claims within 3 business days
following receipt, issuing any resulting payment in the method selected by the participant.
- Ensure any documentation requests or claims denials are properly explained in the information issued to participants and assist them with inquiries regarding the same in a timely manner.
- Maintain data integrity within the FSA system.
Cobra
- Ensure all mandated notices to Employees (Initial notices), Terminated participants (QBs) and COBRA participants are issued in a timely manner that satisfies DOL requirements and deadlines.
- Process all enrollments, terminations and annual open enrollments for COBRA participants and QBs when necessary
- Provide reports to Kapnick TPA service team and clients regarding COBRA enrollment changes
- Ensure QB payments are being properly applied, and refunds are issued when necessary.
- Maintain data integrity within the COBRA system.
- Provide timely responses to all COBRA participants and clients, calls or emails. Maintaining the Kapnick standards for communication turnaround times.
- Issue prompt and through responses, after investigation, when necessary, to all participant inquires.
- Document all correspondence and coverage activities in the agency management system.
- Educate clients, participants, and COBRA QBs on COBRA rules and regulations.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge and understanding of applicable regulations.
- Continuously analyze processes and procedures to identify and implement efficiencies and enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Associate’s degree (two-year college or technical school): Preferred
- 1-3 years’ experience in group benefits: Preferred
- 1-3 years FSA and/or COBRA experience: Preferred
- Life & Health License: Preferred
- Intermediate skill level in Word, Excel, Outlook
- Previous benefits and/or related insurance experience: Preferred
