Description

Mandarin Teachers (New York, NY) – Create and implement a comprehensive Mandarin

immersion curriculum for preschool through 5th grade, integrating a music-based approach

that applies the Kodály method, incorporates singing, folk songs, and hand signs, and fosters

language acquisition through engaging, interactive learning; Plan, design, evaluate, and teach

Music curriculum, as well as immersing with Mandarin/Spanish for target language program;

Improve learning outcomes with an emphasis on Microteaching of Music and Music Pedagogy

using Micro Instructional Design; Facilitate the development of students in the cognitive,

affective, ethical and physical domains of growth in dual language immersion environment,

applying understanding and intervention of learning disabilities; Plan, prepare, and revise

academic and music lessons and teach students in Chinese; Design and develop creative

curriculum including picture books, music, and film, applying Educational

research/Ethnographic research, Kodaly Method, Colloquy in Music Education; Observe,

evaluate, and assess students' language, creativity, and social skills development in Chinese.

Requirements

Must have a Master’s Degree in Education or Learning Technologies & Media Systems plus skills

and knowledge of Kodály Method, Colloquy in Music Education, Music Pedagogy, Micro Instructional Design.
