NCS is currently seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join our new Radiation team.  This position will be responsible for administering prescribed radiation treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and physician directives. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. The Radiation Therapist works closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery.

Other Essential Duties:

  • Position patients accurately and utilizes immobilization devices to ensure precise treatment
  • Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment to maintain safety and accuracy.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to physical or emotional needs.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate treatment documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance of the linear accelerator is completed to minimize technical malfunctions. 
  • Manufacture individualized immobilization devices and position patients during CT Simulation.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, infection control procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

  1. Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
  2. Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (T) 
  3. Associate or Bachelor’s in Radiation Therapy or related field. 
  4. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a radiation therapist is preferred. Experience with Varian Accelerators, ARIA R&V system, surface guidance, and stereotactic procedures are a plus.
