Global Account Manager (Truck segment)– SKF Automotive Business
The Global Account Manager is responsible for leading and growing one of SKF Automotive’s most strategic global customer relationships, specifically within the truck segment. This role is central to driving long-term value creation through strategic account planning, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
As our Global Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for a global customer and act as their advocate within SKF. You will coordinate internal teams across regions and functions to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. This position carries a high level of visibility and strategic importance, both internally and externally, and offers the opportunity to influence the direction of our business in a rapidly transforming industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead one of our most strategic global accounts, spanning multiple regions and business lines, with varying complexity.
- Drive profitable growth through strategic planning, pricing, cost management, and contribution to scorecard targets.
- Develop and execute customer strategies and roadmaps, building strong relationships across all levels of the customer organization.
- Take a long-term, strategic approach to partnership development, going beyond transactional sales.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams, manufacturing units, product development, and support functions across geographies.
- Manage, coach, and develop a small team of local Key Account Managers.
- Lead negotiations for global contracts and programs, ensuring alignment across markets.
- Implement and communicate pricing strategies across all relevant countries.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities within the account, including new business areas.
- Provide regular performance updates and strategic insights to senior management.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activity to inform account strategy.
- Act as the internal ambassador for the customer, ensuring their voice is heard across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
- Solid experience in a strategic commercial role on a global level, such as account management, business development or similar.
- Proven ability to lead complex customer relationships and initiatives across multiple markets and functions.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate customer needs and market trends into actionable plans.
- Experience working with global customers and navigating matrix organizations.
- Skilled in project management and capable of driving customer programs and initiatives across geographies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments and seniority levels.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience from the automotive or truck segment is highly desirable.

Additional information
This position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden, hired on a local contract. You will report to SKF Automotives' Head of Global Sales European Commercial Vehicle OE, who is based in Airasca, Italy.
