Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The work in our team is varied, exciting and high profile; your work could include updating an asset strategy, translating strategies into short- and long-term plans, looking at whole life costing, modelling scenarios for investment planning or working with a range of stakeholders across the business to determine our future vision for assets.

You’ll help lead the translation of cross-asset management, into a balanced process which meets the future strategic needs of Entertainment assets.

You will assist in develop policies, strategies, plans, and prioritized programs for one or more assets to deliver business outcomes and will work with key stakeholders.

  • Ensure that the Universal Studios Hollywood vision, mission & values, and Guest Service Philosophy & Standards are understood and supported across the organization.
  • We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Asset Manager to provide clarity of thought and direction tracking assets. We operate flexibly, through a software solution called RT Pro.
  • Your role is to improve asset management capability, analyzing information to produce options and choices, getting stakeholders on board, helping the business make decisions and ensuring the impacts are understood.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and lead a culture that promotes a professional, collaborative, inspiring, fun, and teamwork-driven work setting for all employees.
  • Oversee the daily operation, including managing staff and process/procedures and providing necessary support for the operation. This includes resolving operational and technical issues
  • Maintain the operational efficiency and effectiveness and ensure all elements operate effectively and that all inventories are well maintained and address/resolve any issues as they arise.
  •  Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities by following established USH policy, procedures, training, and employee involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

  • Learn to be an expert with Rental Tracker Pro software
  • Create a process for training all stakeholders how to use the system and implement standard process
  • Create a process for tracking, labeling of all Entertainment Assets on and off property
  • Required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and see, talk, and hear.  The Assistant Manager must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walking/traveling to multiple locations throughout the day.

Specific Job Duties:

Required Onsite: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal - designated worksite.

Key Accountabilities

  • Developing Asset Management policy and strategy
  • Contributes towards the production of asset policies, strategies, plans, and prioritized programs for one or more asset types through research and data collection and analysis
  • initiatives to inform the strategies and plans for selected asset types
  • Carries out data analysis to inform long term capital and operational investment modelling
  • Promotes a culture that builds strong and sustainable customer service and client relationships

Salary range: $70,000 - 80,000

Desired Characteristics:

  • Operations management experience in entertainment, theme park or hospitality industry.
  • Two-to-four-year college degree preferred or equivalent work experiences.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Leadership and/or asset tracking.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Work and PowerPoint
  • Previous high-volume Inventory Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure; proactive thinker/self-starter.
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible is essential.
  • Ability & willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with short notice
  • Must have strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
