Towne Benefits is hiring a Benefits Technology Service Project Specialist to join our team in Norfolk. The Benefits Technology Service Project Specialist assists the Benefits technology team in maintaining the integrity of the Agency Bloc system, other benefits systems, and aids with various projects and deliverables as requested.

About The Role

  • Ensure the integrity of the data in EDGE/Agency Bloc and EPIC.  
  • Perform on-going database maintenance related to plans, providers, their varied benefit lines, and respective forms. 
  • Assist with projects to review and clean-up data in EDGE/Agency Bloc and EPIC.  
  • Perform review of plan data and test rates as needed in EDGE and/or Agency Bloc. 
  • Complete the annual renewal of plan imports for BBCS of NC and update rates quarterly. 
  • Act as liaison with the various benefit carriers for plans and rates as required. 
  • Act as a resource to Edge/Agency Bloc users in the creation and maintenance of client compliance, benefit, and online enrollment sites. Assist with testing and production efforts in preparation for releasing new functionality. 
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of policies/procedures related to the functionality of the Agency Bloc system. 
  • Continuously improve and develop professional standards, respect the confidentiality of the system information and data, use available resources exclusively for the company’s benefit, respect internal regulations and working procedures, and get involved in solving crises that may occur. 
  • Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Skills And Experience You’Ll Need:

  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. 
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment to follow up and meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.  
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)  
  • Must be detail-oriented and exhibit task work proficiency with minimal supervision.  

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Previous working knowledge of EDGE/Agency Bloc. 
  • Possess or can obtain a Virginia Life and Health license. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of employee benefits. 
  • Exhibit a good aptitude for assessing situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
