Position SummaryAventon is seeking a Video Content Creator to develop, shoot, edit, and publish engaging video content that showcases our e-bikes, brand, and community. This role will collaborate with the social media manager, marketing, and creative teams to produce a variety of content including short and long-form videos, BTS from campaigns, and UGC-style material optimized for digital platforms. The ideal candidate has strong videography and editing skills, a keen eye for storytelling, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position requires regular travel within Southern California and across the U.S. to capture on-location content

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, storyboard, film, and edit videos for campaigns, tutorials, lifestyle shoots, testimonials, and events.
  • Capture drone and action footage of e-bikes across urban, suburban, and outdoor settings.
  • Repurpose long-form content into short-form videos optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Develop creative video concepts that align with Aventon’s brand identity and marketing goals.
  • Manage all aspects of production including lighting, audio, editing, graphics, music, captions, and motion design.
  • Ensure all video deliverables meet brand standards and campaign objectives.
  • Travel to trade shows, retail/dealer locations, and events to capture lifestyle and live content.
  • Coordinate on-location shoots, including scouting, scheduling, and collaborating with ambassadors, influencers, and customers.
  • Work closely with the social media manager, marketing, and creative teams to align content with campaigns.
  • Partner with influencers and riders to produce user-generated and community-driven content.
  • Monitor performance metrics to refine video strategy and stay current with industry trends and platform updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of proven experience as a videographer, video editor, or content creator (experience with outdoor/lifestyle brands a plus).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar software.
  • Strong camera operation skills (DSLR, mirrorless, drones, and action cams like GoPro).
  • Solid knowledge of lighting, sound, and color grading techniques.
  • Understanding of digital marketing, storytelling, and social media content best practices.
  • A creative mindset with strong attention to detail and visual aesthetics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Available to travel both locally in Southern California and throughout the US 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience creating content for outdoor, cycling, or lifestyle brands.
  • Knowledge of SEO and video optimization for YouTube and other platforms.
  • Photography skills for complementary still content.
  • Da Vinci Resolve
  • Passion for sustainability, green mobility, and/or cycling.
  • Great storytelling skills
