About The Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Analytics, the Product Owner, Marketing Analytics is responsible for the product lifecycle of Destination Canada’s marketing analytics solution. The primary product is the Marketing Measurement Framework – a business intelligence solution designed to support evidence-based decision-making in marketing. Working closely with the Marketing team, analytics stakeholders, development vendors, and the internal data team, you will manage feature development, feedback collection, and roadmap refinement to ensure the product meets the evolving needs of its users.
This role is ideal for a data and marketing literate candidate with strong communication and organizational skills interested in building their career in product ownership and analytics delivery.
Key Accountabilities
- Leads the development and delivery of the Marketing Measurement Framework product by managing its feature roadmap, guiding its evolution, and ensuring it reflects marketing priorities.
- Acts as the main liaison with internal marketing stakeholders to gather feedback, understand needs, and translate business objectives and outcomes into clear product requirements.
- Works with the Marketing Performance & Insights team to interpret key performance indicators and identify how they can be translated into effective reporting features
- Coordinates closely with internal data team and external development vendors to ensure timely and accurate implementation of features and updates.
- Supports the planning, testing, and rollout of dashboard enhancements, helping ensure they meet business needs and are delivered with quality.
- Maintains a structured and prioritized backlog of product features and improvements, ensuring alignment with stakeholder value and business goals.
- Communicates product development status, progress, and timelines to internal stakeholders clearly and consistently.
- Supports adoption of the Marketing Measurement Framework including change management, office hours, and providing user support.
- Helps ensure marketing data is accessible and usable by identifying source systems, collaborating with technical teams, and aligning reporting needs with data availability.
- Contributes to user documentation and knowledge-sharing materials that improve understanding and use of the product.
What You Need
- Graduation from a recognized university in business, marketing, data science, or another relevant discipline, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience in product ownership or business analysis, including demonstrated experience in facilitation, various techniques for gathering input from internal stakeholders and translating business needs into clear requirements.
- At least two years of experience supporting or managing marketing or analytics-related projects, products, or dashboards.
- Familiarity with marketing performance measurement and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical staff, vendors, and non-technical business users.
- Comfortable using or working alongside business intelligence tools such as DOMO, Tableau, Power BI or similar.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, including the ability to manage timelines and competing priorities.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience creating project briefs, briefing notes, executive summaries, contributing to documentation, user guides, or training materials for data or analytics tools.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methods and participation in sprint-based workflows (such as Scaled Agile Framework).
- Demonstrated interest in data-informed decision-making and growth marketing.
It Would Be Great If You Also Had
- Passion for performance and growth marketing, and the ability to communicate insights effectively through data storytelling.
- Certification or coursework related to product ownership or Agile practices (e.g., SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager).
- Experience working with digital marketing data or platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM tools).
- Exposure to working with datasets, data pipelines, or working alongside data engineers or analysts.
Compensation
Salary range: $82,146 - $102,682
Within the range, the base pay offered is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills and relevant education/experience. Please note starting salaries for new hires typically fall between the minimum and mid-point of the range, to support internal equity and allow room for progression as employees grow and excel in their roles. The range above reflects base pay only and does not include the competitive at-risk pay program and benefits that we offer!

- This role follows a hybrid work arrangement, where work is performed onsite at least 2-3 days per week. Please note the work arrangement is subject to change.
