Job Summary
The Director, People & Culture Business Partners is responsible for implementing human resources strategies that align with organizational goals. This role focuses on fostering a collaborative and positive culture, enhancing organizational effectiveness, driving employee engagement, and supporting talent development. The Director serves as a trusted advisor to managers, supervisors, and employees, providing guidance on HR strategies and initiatives.

This role is based in Portland and requires a regular presence at our global headquarters (minimum four days per week).

Essential Functions
•    Implements HR strategies aligned with the business objectives to support organizational goals. Communicates P&C strategies and initiates effectively to all levels of the organization
•    Partners with leadership to understand priorities and provide strategic HR guidance and support
•    Cultivates a collaborative and high performing culture within the People & Culture Business Partner (P&CBP) team. Leads and supports the People & Culture Business partners, providing mentorship and development opportunities
•    Develops and implements HR initiatives to support organizational growth and change
•    Provides guidance and support for complex HR issues and initiatives.
•    Oversees employee relations strategies, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
•    Leads the P&CBPs to address employee concerns, conflicts, and performance management issues.
•    Manages employee concerns, conflicts, and performance management issues.
•    Collaborates with the Talent Aquisition team to ensure attraction and retention of top talent.
•    Collaborates with the Learning and Development team to develop and implement talent development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
•    Identifies opportunities to improve P&C processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
•    Leads initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
•    Works with cross-functional teams to integrate P&C initiatives into the business practices.

  • Qualifications
  • •    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • •    Eight (8) years progressive experience in Human Resources 
  • •    Four (4) years people management.
  • •    Strong consultative skills, partnering with client groups to understand business strategy / challenges, provide guidance, analysis and recommendations on complex matters.
  • •    Ability to influence, engage, and partner closely with leaders across all levels of the organization in planning, change management, and conflict resolution.
  • •    Proactive and able to manage competing priorities, delivering quality work in a timely manner and communicating status to key stakeholders.
  • •    Ability to operate at both the strategic and operational levels (i.e., strategic thinking and ability to operationalize) to drive results.
  • •    Proven experience leading teams and managing projects from inception through execution.
  • •    Must be able to work on-site at KEEN HQ in Portland, OR.

Travel Required: Yes, up to 5% of work time will involve travel

Base Salary: $161,300.00 - $170,000.00 yearly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and location.
