Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead DevOps Observability Specialist to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of monitoring and observability practices across our cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Elastic, with a strong background in AWS services and cloud-native monitoring strategies. This role requires both technical leadership and hands-on expertise to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Lead the strategy, implementation, and ongoing improvements of observability platforms and monitoring solutions.
• Design, deploy, and manage monitoring frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, and Elastic (ELK).
• Define and implement best practices for metrics collection, logging, tracing, and alerting in AWS environments.
• Partner with development, SRE, and DevOps teams to ensure system reliability, availability, and performance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on observability tools and practices.
• Establish monitoring dashboards, alerts, and automated responses to proactively address incidents.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new observability tools and technologies to improve operational excellence.

Qualifications And Skills

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles, with a focus on monitoring and observability.
• Expert-level knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana for metrics and visualization.
• Strong experience with AWS CloudWatch and Elastic (ELK stack).
• Deep understanding of observability principles (metrics, logs, traces) and their application in distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native monitoring/alerting tools.
• Proven ability to lead initiatives, define observability strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
