About The Role

Based in Erlanger, KY, this position will lead the team that keeps Gap Inc.’s inbound supply chain moving. You’ll oversee track and trace for container and air freight from global origins through U.S., Canadian, and global ports into our DCs—supporting Retail, eCommerce, and Global Franchise to ensure that our stores have the right product at the right time. You’ll partner across carriers, ports, Inland Transload & DC operations, and leaders at all levels to drive performance, continuous improvement, and cost discipline.

What You'Ll Do

  • Lead the Track & Trace team managing container and air shipments from multiple international origins to domestic and international DCs and hub locations.
  • Partner and escalate with impact—coordinate with vessel and dray carriers plus ITO & DC teams to secure on‑time pickups and deliveries.
  • Own service performance—co‑own on‑time results with Ops leaders to meet or exceed capacity and service targets.
  • Run the day‑to‑day—execute transportation procedures against project plans and SLAs while anticipating cross‑functional impacts.
  • Drive continuous improvement - identify opportunities to elevate service and reduce cost; ensure your team operates within budget.
  • Lead projects with analytics—deliver reporting, insights, and hands‑on support for key initiatives.
  • Exercise sound judgment—make independent decisions; escalate business risks clearly, concisely, and professionally.
  • Prevent and solve problems—anticipate issues, mitigate delays, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
  • Lift stakeholder satisfaction—continuously improve communication, processes, and service to boost productivity and outcomes.
  • Align people to strategy—set clear goals tied to the operating plan, champion new ideas, change, and an inclusive environment.

Who You Are

  • Proven people leader with the ability to collaborate and influence across functions, professional phone/meeting presence.
  • Clear communicator & problem‑solver with strong analytical, planning, organizational, conflict‑resolution, and decision‑making skills.
  • Tech‑savvy with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Calm under pressure—drives results, manages multiple priorities with urgency, and maintains confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Independent and accountable, able to make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Supply chain‑fluent; transportation/carrier management experience preferred; 4+ years logistics experience preferred.
  • Flexible schedule—comfortable with non‑traditional hours (shifts, weekends, holidays) to support project needs.
