Job Summary
The position is a key member of the corporate tax department. The position reports to the Director of Tax and will work closely with the other members of the tax department, assisting with SEC tax reporting and all the company’s US Federal, state, and foreign tax matters including planning, compliance, management of tax audits, cash taxes, and the effective tax rate. The Tax Manager will work with financial management within the Company, service providers, and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and work as a team to complete the company's tax provision under ASC 740, including tax footnote, schedules and work papers for review by manager and the company's independent accountants.
- Analysis and technical computations necessary for the completion of federal, international and state tax returns, including coordinating with third party service providers.
- Research and documentation of tax return filing positions, requested advice, etc.
- Coordinate with governmental auditors for audits of federal, state, and international tax issues.
- Liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues.
- Ensure compliance with the internal controls in place over taxes.
- Departmental liaison with IT staff on all technical matters relating to tax applications.
- Coordinate and manage third-party service providers to complete Research Credit Studies, IRC 382 Studies, and other tax consulting projects.
- Estimate and monitor annual cash taxes and estimated tax payments.
- Analyze the impact of new or proposed tax legislation to provide awareness of tax planning opportunities or the existence of tax exposure
- Excellent organizational skills and follow-up skills; demonstrated ability to identify and manage complex projects and support key objectives and responsibilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex tax and accounting matters to non-tax professionals.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.
- Follow legal policies as directed.
Job Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of related experience with at least 2 years with a national accounting firm.
- Knowledge of US tax issues, particularly ASC 740 and multi-state corporate taxation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, decision-making and project management skills.
- Fluent with business software including MS Excel.
- Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
Salary Range: $107,625 - $134,275

Physical Requirements:
