Whether you are digitizing drug discovery and development, identifying solutions, or making our work easier and faster, you will be making a difference to countless lives. Your contributions will be instrumental in developing and supporting robust software for our business, fostering a culture that promotes innovation, and striving to improve patient care and healthcare outcomes.

Overview

As a Solution Engineering Data Engineer Specialist for PSSP, you will be directly responsible for designing and coding data integration solutions that enable seamless data flow across multiple platforms. You’ll work with CRM systems (such as Salesforce, Polaris, and others), omnichannel communication tools (including AWS Connect and NICE), and third-party data sources to support the ingestion and transformation of data into the PSSP data warehouse.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Designing and implementing data enablement processes such as ingestion, preprocessing, and transformation of PHI/PII data from platforms like Polaris CRM, IQVIA, AWS Connect, and Specialty Pharmacy Providers.
  • Collaborating with CRM, OCC, and third-party vendors to assess the impact of system changes, coordinate implementation timelines, and communicate how upstream modifications affect downstream data operations and reporting.
  • Supporting platform operations through hands-on DevOps tasks and vendor coordination.
  • Developing and delivering reporting and dashboards for key programs, ensuring timely and accurate insights that drive decision-making and operational excellence.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across teams to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.

What You Will Achieve

In This Role, You Will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from CRM platforms (Salesforce, Polaris), OCC omnichannel tools (AWS Connect, NICE), and third-party data sources into the PSSP data warehouse.
  • Build scalable data pipelines using tools such as AWS Glue, Snowflake, and Python, ensuring secure and efficient handling of PHI/PII data.
  • Communicate upcoming changes in upstream platforms to the data warehouse team and other stakeholders, providing technical guidance on potential impacts to operations and reporting.
  • Work on the technical execution of data integration projects, including building solutions, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Implement solutions using programming languages, frameworks, and tools aligned with project specifications and Pfizer coding standards, including documentation (Jira user stories, deployment guides) and testing per ADLC methodologies.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for CRM/OCC/third-party data integrations, including DTAs and DIAs, to support knowledge transfer and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with CRM/OCC teams and third-party vendors to understand upcoming changes and coordinate timing to minimize disruption.
  • Partner with data warehouse stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs, ensuring accurate and timely data availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues in collaboration with internal and external teams, maintaining data integrity and reliability.
  • Stay current on new features and enhancements in CRM/OCC/third-party platforms and data tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Snowflake), evaluating their impact and recommending implementation strategies.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology Management.
  • 4+ years of extensive experience in solution architecture, technical design, and implementation of complex software systems.
  • 4+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements definition, and/or project management.
  • Experience with AWS Glue and IICS for data integration and ETL pipeline development.
  • Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or Service Cloud
  • Proven success delivering solutions using Agile development methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Disciplined Agile).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
