We're looking for a strategic thinker and governance expert to join our Risk Governance team as Manager Risk Governance. This is your opportunity to drive excellence in risk reporting, support executive decision-making, and help shape the frameworks that keep our organisation resilient and future-ready.

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Risk Governance, you’ll be at the heart of our enterprise risk ecosystem. In this role, you'll elevate the quality and impact of risk governance, delivering world-class reporting, shaping policy development, and providing critical support to executive committees.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Driving excellence in Enterprise Risk Reporting with fellow team members in coaching, quality and timely papers and reporting solutions focusing on key Board-level insights and world class knowledge management.
• Providing support and excellence in drafting Board-quality papers in terms of tone, format, compliance, simplification, standardisation and continuous improvement, including managing retrospectives post governance rounds to track and monitor improvement actions across paper authors.
• Providing secretariat support services for the Executive Risk Committee (RISKCO), Credit Risk Committee (CREDCO), Operational Risk, Compliance and Resilience Committee (ERCO), BT Funds Management (NZ) Limited Risk Oversight Committee (BTNZ ROC), or other risk managed committees as and when required.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored for Board and executive audiences
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities
• Deep understanding of risk and regulatory frameworks (NZ and AU), including APRA, RBNZ, and FMA
• Proven experience in financial services (5+ years preferred)
• Project management expertise and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with precision
• A proactive, independent working style with a passion for governance excellence
