The salary range for this position starts at $34.15 Effective October 1, 2025, and progresses in accordance with the union contract. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.

NSTAR Electric has a position available in the Substation Construction Department for an Electrician.  In order to be considered for this opening, candidates should hold a valid Massachusetts Journeyman's Electrician license have a valid and clean driver’s record license and CDL (the ability to obtain and maintain CDL).  Must be available to perform overtime and emergency work as required and pass the CAST Test.  This position will be designated shift work with the possibility of Saturday as a workday and a four, ten-hour workweek may be scheduled.  The ability to work in inclement weather and be willing to work outside of your assigned district is required.  Individuals may be required to job-site report.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• It is preferred that individuals must have and hold a valid Commercial driver’s license (CDL) or the ability/obtain and maintain , also a satisfactory clean driving record
• Must be able to effectively interact, communicate, and direct the work of other co-workers.
• Must be available to perform overtime and emergency work as required .  ​
