Finnair Cargo is a modern air cargo carrier offering fast, high-quality transport between Asia, Europe, and North America through its Helsinki hub. Finnair Cargo specializes in temperature-controlled cargo, such as pharmaceuticals, seafood, and other perishables. The operations at its state-of-the-art COOL Nordic Cargo Hub at Helsinki Airport are designed using modern technology and data monitoring systems to radically improve transparency and efficiency of air cargo shipping. Cargo Service Agents

to join our team of air cargo professionals. We help our customers to find flexible logistics solutions from Finnair Cargo’s extensive network and air cargo products. As a Cargo Service Agent your main goal is to ensure high-quality customer service and operational cargo flow. We are currently looking for Cargo Service Agents to Customer Service and Flight Control for permanent and fixed-term positions.

Customer Service is an operative role serving customers face-to-face and by phone as well as through different systems. At the front desk customer service, you are responsible for executing, steering, and monitoring acceptance and delivery processes in close cooperation with our stakeholders. Cargo booking and ad-hoc sales is the other significant part of customer service role.

This role includes communicating with different stakeholders, reporting deviations and discrepancies, as well as participating in continuous development of daily operations. 

Flight Control is an operative role, which is mainly data and documentation processing. In this role you would be responsible for monitoring operational status of assigned flights, cargo end-to-end message and documentation process. The role includes communicating with different stakeholders, reporting deviations and discrepancies, as well as participating in continuous development of daily operations.

To succeed as our Cargo Service Agent, you do not necessarily need to have knowledge of air cargo processes yet. We are focused on finding people who are motivated to develop themselves as world-class air cargo professionals together with the cultural and operational change journey that Finnair Cargo is going through. If you also enjoy working in a growing and dynamic atmosphere but understand and appreciate the process-controlled environment surrounded by rules and regulation you might be who we are looking for!

Our Expectations:

• Experience from logistics related industry 
• Experience from a process-controlled environment defined by rules and regulations 
• Strong can-do attitude and excellent execution capability 
• Strong teamwork, co-operation and communication skills 
• Ability and interest to search for and spread information with colleagues, other teams and customers 
• Ability to make independent decisions in complex and time constraint operational environment 
• Fluent Finnish and English, both spoken and written

This position requires willingness and ability for shiftwork as Finnair Cargo operates 24/7 every day of the year. According to the agreed IAU TES the shift list is published in four weeks periods (Tasoittuva työaikamalli) two weeks in advance. Cargo Service Agents report to Cargo Office Supervisor.  

Salary is determined by Finnish Aviation Union Collective Agreement i.e. ‘Ilmailualan Unionin työehtosopimus’ (salary level 6, ground handling).
