Role Overview: As a hands-on back-end engineer on the Maestro project, you will design and implement the core services and architectural foundations that orchestrate AI systems, scalable APIs, and their integration with front-end applications. Your focus will be on building robust, secure, and efficient back-end architectures that not only scale for enterprise use but also support rapid prototyping and iteration in innovation initiatives. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive at the intersection of enterprise-scale system architecture and emerging AI-driven user experiences.

Your Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement scalable back-end services and APIs to power AI-driven and real[1]time user experiences.
• Build integration layers that connect front-end applications, AI agents, and third-party services securely and efficiently.
• Ensure system performance, security, and availability through thoughtful design, monitoring, and proactive optimization.
• Leverage modern cloud and serverless technologies to create resilient and cost-effective infrastructure.
• Apply enterprise architecture resources and patterns for validation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with front-end engineers, AI specialists, and designers to ensure seamless end[1]to-end integration.
• Document architecture, application design decisions, and technical solutions to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
• Participate in rapid prototyping, helping translate experimental concepts into production-ready services.

To Thrive in This Position, Youʼll Need:

• 8+ years of experience designing and developing highly scalable web-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles for building distributed systems.
• Senior-level expertise in the JavaScript/Typescript/NodeJS ecosystem, with hands-on experience in other programming languages such as Python, Java, or Lua.
• Proficiency with popular database paradigms (relational, document-oriented, key-value), as well as messaging, queuing, and caching
• Experience with container-based deployments and managed/serverless cloud services (e.g., AWS API Gateway, Lambda, S3, RDS, OpenSearch, EKS).
• Familiarity with modern reactive web frameworks (e.g., React/Next, Vue/Nuxt, Angular, Svelte) and real-time communication technologies (SSE, WebSockets).
• A passion for AI and related trends, with curiosity to explore how back-end systems can enable intelligent user experiences.
• Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to author design documentation and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Enthusiasm for prototyping, rapid iteration, and continuous learning in the evolving web ecosystem.
