We are seeking an experienced and highly driven professional to be our Tax Manager.

In this position, you will be a key player in ensuring Posti Group’s tax reporting and compliance. Role has been previously outsourced. Some tasks are agreed to be outsourced during the transition period, and certain specialists may be used for significant or complex transactions going forward. You work closely with Group Finance team and Shared Service Center in Finland and Tallinn, and accounting professionals in Sweden. You report to the Director, Group Financial Controlling also providing reporting directly to the CFO and Audit, Risk and Sustainability Committee.

You will also provide Posti your knowledge of tax reporting in accordance with IFRS, local GAAP, and other regulatory requirements in Finland, Sweden and the Baltics. You will proactively monitor any changes related to tax requirements and impacts to Posti Group. You will be actively guiding the Record to Report and Group Accounting teams in tax reporting and compliance, and future development of the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax reporting, forecasting and compliance at Posti Group level.
  • Analyze taxable income and taxes of the Group entities during closings.
  • Analyze effective tax rate, income taxes and deferred taxes at Group level.
  • Validate income tax returns prepared by Shared Service Center.
  • Prepare Group contribution calculations and transfer pricing master files.
  • Validate Posti Group tax notes and country-by-country and tax footprint reporting.  
  • Provide tax guidance and involvement in complex transactions, M&A, and Pillar 2.
  • Drive improvements in the above-mentioned processes, systems, and internal controls.

To succeed in this role, we hope that you have:  

  • Master’s degree in finance, or a comparable field with a focus on tax and accounting.
  • Experience in big/listed company tax reporting from a Group’s perspective.
  • Proven experience in tax reporting in accordance with IFRS and FAS.
  • Experience in tax compliance and legislation, e.g. VAT and Pillar 2.
  • Good collaboration skills and ability to coordinate matters in a wide organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure during tight deadlines, and to lead development.
  • Experience with S/4 HANA, HFM or similar tool is considered as an advantage.
  • Good communication skills and documentation skills in both English and Finnish.
