About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shift Supervisor (Afternoon Shift) to oversee our manufacturing operations. This is a full-time, afternoon-shift role (3:00pm – 11:00pm, Monday to Friday), with the potential for extended hours or weekend work during peak production periods. You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily activities, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team to meet production goals. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing supervision, with a focus on improving efficiency, safety, and product quality within the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations, leading daily toolbox meetings to set expectations, ensuring targets, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved.
• Lead, coach, and support production staff, driving teamwork, accountability, and high performance
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, GMP, and food safety regulations, addressing issues promptly with QA
• Monitor and analyse production performance, implementing improvements to boost efficiency and reduce waste
• Manage labour, materials, and equipment resources to meet schedules and budget requirements
• Prepare accurate reports on production performance, quality, and team outcomes
• Conduct regular safety audits and ensure all team members are trained in safe practices to maintain a safe workplace

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Production Management desirable)
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing (food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical industries highly regarded)
• Deep understanding of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar systems for reporting and analysis
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and SOPs
• Highly organised with strong communication skills and attention to detail
