The ACM OU is committed to excellence in innovation and commercialisation to pursue our vision and long-term business growth. The ACM OU Operations organisation is refining its product delivery, innovation, and commercialisation approach to enable product leadership across all segments of our product portfolio. This will require enhancing our innovation processes, refining our design and delivery approaches to deliver an integrated and comprehensive portfolio that enables product development excellence across ACM.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will join the ACM OU Operations team, working closely and collaborating cross functionally, to ensure all new ACM products are designed with the end-to-end Value Stream in mind. This role will ensure a seamless transition of new products from R&D to Manufacturing and launch. At the forefront, is ensuring DfX is in place for all new product launches. This role will also support Commercialisation post launch.

The role will own improving the maturity of the end-to-end Value Stream to establish a best-in-class support ongoing. There will be a focus on continuous improvement and KPI reporting to ensure all ACM products are launched in a seamless manner in compliance with regulations and performance metrics.

A Day in The Life Of:

  • Define requirements from an end-to-end Value Stream perspective, including VoC and DfX.
  • Responsible for the implementation of new equipment (requirements, qualification & validation).
  • Ensure Design for X is implemented for new products.
  • Experience with risk planning, management, risk strategies, and develop accurate risk adjusted schedules.
  • Manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaise with project management & cross functional teams on project planning and deliverables. 
  • Communicate with and enable stakeholder engagement to ensure launched products and processes meet ACM business goals and initiatives.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within the role.
  • Regularly report on performance, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and corrective actions.
  • Analyse data and metrics to drive decision-making and improve overall performance.
  • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum Level 8 Bachelors degree required in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering or other related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in defining & executing strategies for engineering & released product changes.
  • Medical device product development experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and stakeholder management. 
  • Proven ability to deliver Projects on time, within budget, meeting business expectations.
  • Experienced with Microsoft project and office.
  • Demonstrated strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work, influence and lead in a matrix environment.

Nice To Have

  • May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Experience implementing or executing operations projects/programs, new process, tools and program and/or portfolio dashboards.
  • Excellent mitigation management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, both delivery and development.
