About The Role

As a Sr. Software Engineer , you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable solutions within our healthcare division. Your work will focus on ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data standards, while building cloud-native applications that support our AI-powered receptionist platform. Leveraging technologies such as AWS, Cloudflare, Postgres, Bun, Node.js, and TypeScript, you will architect and deliver services that meet the stringent demands of healthcare clients. Your ability to design secure systems, optimize performance, and collaborate across teams will be instrumental in enabling us to bring trusted AI solutions into the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure System Design: Architect, develop, and maintain services with HIPAA compliance and healthcare security standards at the forefront.
• Cloud Architecture: Build and optimize cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and Cloudflare to ensure scalability, performance, and resilience.
• Service Development: Implement backend services and APIs in Bun, Node.js, and TypeScript, ensuring clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Database Management: Design, manage, and optimize Postgres databases with a focus on data integrity, encryption, and performance.
• Compliance and Privacy: Work closely with compliance and security teams to enforce strict data governance, audit trails, and privacy safeguards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver secure and user-focused solutions.
• Performance Monitoring: Use tools such as Cloudflare, AWS CloudWatch, and Sentry to proactively identify, resolve, and prevent issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to code reviews, mentor peers, and champion engineering best practices to elevate team performance.

Requirements

• Technical Depth: Proven experience building and maintaining secure backend systems using Node.js, Bun, and TypeScript.
• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, CloudWatch) and familiarity with Cloudflare.
• Database Skills: Strong knowledge of Postgres schema design, optimization, and data security best practices.
• Security Awareness: Understanding of HIPAA regulations and data privacy standards in healthcare technology.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset to design solutions for complex, compliance-driven requirements.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a startup environment with shifting priorities and evolving challenges.

Good To Have

• Healthcare Experience: Prior experience building healthcare applications or working with HIPAA compliant systems.
• DevOps Skills: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Monitoring & Security Tools: Experience with tools like Datadog and Snyk for observability and vulnerability management.
