Vanuatu.
The Role
We are seeking a Compliance Officer with prior experience in the immigration space to join our
team. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring all our processes, documentation, and client
interactions are fully compliant with Vanuatu’s regulatory framework. The ideal candidate is a
meticulous, detail-oriented professional who can navigate complex regulations and a fast-paced
environment with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Oversight: Monitor and interpret changes in Vanuatu’s immigration laws,policies, and regulatory guidelines to ensure the company’s services and proceduresremain fully compliant.
- Case File Audits: Conduct regular and thorough audits of client files and documentationto ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to all legal and procedural requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigatethem. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to prevent non-compliance.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of company-widecompliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are effectively communicated andfollowed by all staff.
- Training & Education: Provide training and guidance to team members on compliancerequirements, best practices, and new regulations to foster a culture of compliance.
- Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for external regulatory bodies and legal counselregarding compliance matters, as needed.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate and timely compliance reports to management,highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations.
Requirements
- Prior professional experience in a compliance, legal, or a similar role, specifically withinthe immigration, legal, or financial services industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Vanuatu’s regulatory framework, particularly as it relates toimmigration and citizenship programs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- A relevant bachelor's degree in law, business, or a related field is preferred.
