Business Procurement Lead

About The Role:

As a Business Procurement Lead – PL/HU/SK, you will be responsible for independently implementing and executing procurement strategies, acting as the main procurement partner for stakeholders across these three countries. You will manage supplier and contract relationships, deliver cost savings, and ensure compliance with category strategies, all while representing the Central European Procurement Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the procurement expert and primary business partner for stakeholders in Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia.
• Implement and execute procurement strategies aligned with the European Procurement leadership team.
• Manage supplier and contract relationships at tactical and operational levels.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional local teams, reviewing categories, supply base, cost drivers, and market trends.
• Develop and maintain accurate cost records, supplier performance data, and spend analysis.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement, including supplier consolidation, innovation, and packaging/logistics enhancements.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure best total cost of ownership.
• Conduct supplier visits, performance reviews, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with the Central European Procurement Team to deliver continuous improvements and innovative solutions.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in procurement, ideally in logistics, haulage, or warehousing.
• Proven experience implementing and executing procurement strategies.
• Strong knowledge of procurement applications (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience working with complex stakeholder groups at a strategic level.
• Skilled in supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Fluent in Hungarian and English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Full EU driving license and willingness to travel up to 25% across Europe.
