Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services, the MRI Technologist provides magnetic resonance imaging care to patients of all ages for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.  Performs other duties as required.

  1. Demonstrates positive relationships with patients, patient families, visitors, medical staff members and other employees of DHM, regardless of age, cultural or ethnic background.
  2. 2. Accountable for meeting Joint Commission, Title XXII, DHS and the requirements of other regulatory agencies that affects the functioning of the department.
  3. Accountable for meeting current hospital standards, as defined by the Doctors Hospital of Manteca Employee Handbook.
  4. Accountable for adhering to and promoting Tenet’s Ethics and Compliance Program as evidenced by: a) the employee has read and comprehends the Tenet Standards of Conduct, b) the employee has participated in Tenet Ethics Training as required (new hires within 120 days).
  5. Accountable for understanding and adhering to hospital requirements for the assessment and provision of care which considers the personal, cultural, spiritual and/or ethnic beliefs of patients.
  6. Accountable for demonstrating current knowledge of hospital and departmental policies.
  7. Accountable for following all hospital and departmental safety policies.
  8. Accountable for meeting State of California standards by completing an annual TB test in accordance with DHM’s established TB testing schedule.

Certifications:

Certification in Radiologic Technology by the State of California, Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (preferred). MRI Board Certified or Board eligible. Must obtain MRI license within 18 months of assuming position.

Experience: 3-5 years

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.  Must be fluent in spoken and written English.  Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
