What You'Ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Responsible for posting journals transactions to the general ledger
  • Ownership of centralised processes during month end cycle such as TB reviews for UK and Irish entities, CAPEX, Fixed Assets, Deferred Revenue etc.
  • Support in the production of financial slides for Group month end close presentations.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations in areas of responsibility
  • Monthly analysis and explanation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet movements vs prior month.
  • Responding to external auditor requests
  • Business Partnering to ensure high quality postings.
  • Close collaboration with the settlement team in Serbia.
  • Monitoring and constant improvement of operational processes and controls
  • Other ad-hoc tasks and projects entrusted by Financial Controllers or Finance Director

Accounts Payable Activities:


To work closely with the Accounts Payable Lead and support across the
assigned entities. Under supervision and guidance complete the following tasks:
Invoices, Banks and Suppliers:

  • Support with the preparation of the bi-weekly supplier payment runs and the reconciliation process in NetSuite.
  • Reconcile creditors and bank statements.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or misallocated costs
  • Follow established controls to reduce errors while also proposing new measures to enhance processes.
  • Ensure accurate application of VAT to invoicing and cost allocations
  • Prepare reports as and when required
  • Post monthly internal rechargesGeneral
  • You will also be required to fulfil any additional duties as the business may require
  • Work individually and with the team to adhere to service level agreements
  • Strive to create efficiencies in the day to day working practices to reduce time spent on repetitive & administrative tasks.
  • Support the audit process for all the entities of the group

What You’ll Need To Be Successful In This Role:

  • Willing to learn new knowledge and skills

Technical/Functional:

  • Fully qualified accountant ACCA/ACA
  • Post qualified experience 3 years+
  • Knowledge of UK & Irish GAAP and IFRS
  • Solid knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and tax.
  • Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Experience using any of the big accounting software: SAP, Oracle NetSuite

Ideally, You’Ll Also Have:

  • Strong technical capabilities and ability to contribute to automation and process improvement projects
  • High growth tech experience (preferably FinTech), as well as having experienced best practice in a larger organisation or external audit company
  • Understanding of the payments industry
  • Functional understanding of NetSuite
