What you’ll be doing – The Role
In this brand-new role you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the company’s technology infrastructure. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across networks, servers, storage, cloud platforms, data centers, and enterprise systems to ensure high availability, security, and scalability. The Director of IT Infrastructure partners closely with business leaders and IT peers to align infrastructure strategy with company goals, optimize performance, and enable growth
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the infrastructure strategy in alignment with the organization’s overall IT roadmap and business objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to recommend investments that enhance efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Establish infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
Infrastructure Operations
- Oversee the management of data centers, networks, servers, cloud services, storage, and disaster recovery systems.
- Ensure systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Implement monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure high availability and reliability.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements to ensure value and performance.
Security And Compliance
- Design and enforce cybersecurity best practices.
- Ensure infrastructure meets compliance standards (e.g., SOC, HIPAA, PCI, GDPR as applicable).
- Implement effective backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
Collaboration And Communication
- Work closely with IT Operations to assist in delivering reliable technology solutions.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business language for senior leadership.
- Support enterprise projects with infrastructure expertise and integration planning.

Requirements
What you'll bring - The Person:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience
- 8+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success managing enterprise-level infrastructure environments (specifically in the cloud).
- Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, server administration, and cloud platforms (Azure).
