Toledo Tool & Die is adding Quality Auditor to our team to support our continued growth. This is a full-time position based in Pioneer, Ohio. We offer competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment. Come join our 2nd shift team! 

  • Hours for this position are typically:
  • · Monday-Friday,      1:45pm-10:00pm
  • *Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays)

Key Responsibilites:

  • Perform      First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions of finished parts for      conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as      calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges and dial      indicators.
  • Authority      to accept or reject finished items.
  • Inspect,      test or measure metal stampings being produced.
  • Input      and/or report data generated from audits and other sources as needed into      various software programs.
  • Organize      and maintain check fixture area.
  • Interpret      engineering drawings, diagrams or confers with other TTD Management to      determine quality & reliability standards.
  • Red      Tag containers that have nonconforming parts and establish clean point in      production between good and suspect product.
  • Perform      the essential job functions of Press Operator when significant downtime is      present.
  • Perform      other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or TTD Management      representatives.
  • Authority      to stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High      School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
  • Six (6) months previous manufacturing experience, preferably in the quality function that displays progressive work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment is required. Preferably with a metal stampings background in an OEM or Tier I/II supplier in the automotive environment.
  • Knowledge and application of Quality Systems, such as IATF 16949 is preferred.
  • Proficiency in various Microsoft Programs, such as Outlook, Word and Excel. 
  • Ability to read and interpret information from gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges and dial indicators.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Report to work on time to support production startup.
  • Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds.
  • Work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity.
