About The Role
The Global Loan Syndications team specialises in originating, structuring, underwriting and distributing loans across relationship and corporate finance product segments.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual keen to further their corporate finance capabilities in a fast-paced transaction focused environment.
You will be part of a market leading loan franchise responsible for end to end arranging of debt transactions, assisting a broad range of Australian borrowers seeking to raise debt to either fund an acquisition of a business or asset, develop a project, refinance existing debt or for general corporate purposes.
This role primarily supports the execution of deals initiated by the lead banker, typically at the Director or Executive Director level. It involves managing the day-to-day aspects of deal execution, which includes coordinating with internal teams, clients, and legal advisors.
Responsibilities also encompass handling inquiries from participating banks during syndication, preparing launch documentation/materials, and ensuring smooth closure of transactions.

What Will Your Day Look Like?
- Assisting lead banker on origination of transactions including preparing pitch documents
- Managing investor queries on live transactions and maintaining information flow during syndication
- Closing deals in a seamless manner (KYC, CPs)
- Preparing Underwriting Approval Forms and syndications credit memorandum commentary
- Analysis of the syndicated loan market, including the collection and distribution of pricing data, information relating to investors, clients and market trends
- Meeting with customers and other banks to understand market liquidity and appetite
- Representing the ANZ syndicated loan franchise at external events
What Will You Bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience in research & analysis / credit in an institutional, corporate banking or product environment
- An understanding of loan syndications and investor behaviour
- A solid understanding of financial markets, accounting principles and credit risk assessment fundamentals
- Ability to interpret loan documentation and term sheets
- Sound communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
