Job Summary:
The National Nurse Advisor will engage and support nurses and healthcare professionals across centers in the UK & Ireland to help design & deliver patient-focused services that support the safe & effective use of BioCryst products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identification, development and maintenance of productive relationships with relevant nurses & other healthcare professionals according to highest standards of compliance with principles of good corporate governance, professional and ethical behavior and safety standards, national legal requirements, and ABPI code regulations.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals across centres responsible for patient care to support the safe and effective use of BioCryst products
- Works collaboratively with the cross-functional team to support the delivery of key account plans as these relate to the safe and effective use of BioCryst products. Is seen as a role model amongst peers.
- Key point of contact for BioCryst patient support programmes, liasing internally and with providers and user organisations to ensure the service meets current patient and HCP needs.
- Development and implementation of patient support activities & programmes to ensure patients are initiated and maintained safely and effectively on BioCryst products.
- Demonstrates regular use of CRM and other analytical systems for communication and documentation purposes and deriving actions from it. Actively adjusts plans and actions to address changes in market situation.
- Develop exceptional plans for engagement with relevant nurses and stakeholders in individual accounts including design of services and activities depending on customer needs, including resource allocations that link to business needs.
- Development of local customer plans, using innovative concepts to support the use of BioCryst products within label.
- Proactively gathers insights and learnings from nurses & other HCPs and shares across the team to support the overall UK/Ire team and business performance.
- Be extremely customer-focused and able to build and foster strong positive, productive relationships with key decision makers and opinion leaders as evidenced by consistent delivery of results
- Takes lead to organise and actively participate at local and national nurse congresses and events.
- Develop and maintain a UK/Ireland nurse steering group to gain insights and develop appropriate activities/materials that will ensure the safe and effective use of BioCryst products
- Complete expense reports and other required administrative reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Report all call information in a timely fashion.
- Attend training programs, conventions, and symposia, as requested.
- Initiates and delivers additional activities above and beyond role – looks to ‘go the extra mile’
- Proactively use resources and share best practices that lead to achieving or exceeding business goals.
- Supports the training and development of the team where required
- Adhere to all company compliance guidelines, policy and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years as a nurse within the NHS or similar healthcare environment
- Rare Disease and small company experience preferred.
- Pharmaceutical and/or biotech experience, Bachelor degree and/or scientific degree preferred
- Existing relationships with specialist nurses and/or key centres within assigned geography are helpful.
- Strong track record of successfully delivering projects/activities/clinical projects with successful patient outcomes
- Knowledge of relevant disease states and current treatments.
- Experience of working on patient support programmes a plus
- Experience of working on early access programmes a benefit
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong business and analytical ability.
- Proven ability to create build and innovate within a business, working both independently as well as in teams.
- Excellent influencing skills
- Knowledge of territory.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel as necessary or required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel.
