Practice Manager - Greencross Burleigh Heads

Due to an internal promotion, we’re excited to offer a 12-month contract/secondment opportunity for an experienced Practice Manager to join our team at Greencross Burleigh Waters starting this November!

Greencross Burleigh Waters is a large and well-equipped (4 consult room, 2 surgery theatres) purpose-built clinic located next to Petbarn and a stone’s throw from the Treetops Plaza, as well as plenty of café options for lunch! As well as a short 5-minute drive to the beautiful beaches. Our Nurse team consists of experienced and fully qualified nurses, and our outstandingly supportive Vet Director, Dr Josie has and a keen interest in Surgery & Ophthalmology!

This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role that will see you:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the clinic including stock management, people management and rostering, and maintaining client records  
• Leading and developing our team and building a positive team culture
• Ensuring that monthly KPI’s are met
• Driving our business forward through creating and implementing local marketing initiatives 
• Delivering outstanding service and care to all patients and owners
• Nursing duties as required; including training and mentoring nurses

Your skills and experience will include:

• A Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent is desirable
• At least 2+ years’ experience in a Practice Manager or Head Nurse/2IC role
• Strong leadership and team building skills, with the ability to provide coaching for team members
• An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
• Great communication and customer service skills
• A friendly, team player attitude 
• Strong business acumen and organisational skills
• Experience with Rx Works preferred but not essential
