Post Doctoral, Analytical (Spectroscopy)(006987)

Main Tasks:

• Under general supervision from lab leader, independently perform FTIR and NMR analysis tasks.
• Analyze, interpret results, and prepare technical reports.
• Develop technical solutions using existing and new technologies, methods etc.
• Capable of communicate with internal partners for the understanding of their analytical service requirement and result interpretation.
• Ability to organize tasks and set priorities to ensure timely data delivery to customer.
• Continuously observe, analyze and assess scientific and technical trends in analytics.
• Perform general lab assignments (e.g., chemical inventory and lab housekeeping) as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in chemistry, material science or analytical sciences
• At least 5 years’ experience of conducting NMR experiment; Extensive hands-on practice on IR, NMR etc. (including Ph.D. period)
• Experience with interpretation of NMR spectra for structural elucidation is mandatory.
• Deep theoretical knowledge on spectroscopy (NMR, IR, etc) and related techniques
• Familiar with polymer system is a plus
• Good English and Chinese skills
