Role Overview

Unity Advisory serves a global client base of high-net-worth individuals with international interests and assets. As a Private Client International Tax Senior Manager, you will lead a specialised team providing tax advisory services to internationally mobile high-net-worth individuals and families with assets and interests across multiple jurisdictions. You will develop and implement sophisticated cross-border tax strategies while ensuring compliance with international tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide complex international tax planning advice to high-net-worth individuals and families
• Lead projects involving multiple jurisdictions, coordinating with global network partners where necessary
• Advise on residence and domicile issues, including pre-immigration planning and exit strategies
• Develop tax-efficient structures for clients with international assets and investments
• Manage compliance with reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Advise on international estate planning and wealth transfer strategies
• Lead and develop a team of international tax professionals
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on international matters
• Stay current with global tax developments and their impact on internationally mobile clients
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities within the international private client space
• Apply AI-enabled analytics to cross-border data to identify residency, domicile, treaty, and reporting risks early, reducing manual review and cycle time
• Partner with Digital & Transformation to automate data flows and build dashboards that track multi-jurisdictional filings, deadlines, and exposure by country
• Integrate with Finance Operations to align intercompany, reporting, and controls with international tax positions for transaction readiness
• Leverage managed services for scalable international compliance across returns, information reporting, and statutory accounts

Qualifications And Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) and/or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification
• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in international tax planning for private clients
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and international tax principles
• Experience with residence and domicile rules, double tax treaties, and offshore structures
• Understanding of US tax issues affecting international clients (FATCA, etc.) is desirable
• Proven experience managing complex international tax engagements
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple jurisdictions
• Strong leadership and people development capabilities
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain complex international concepts clearly
