Manufacturing Manager

  • Location: Cikarang, West Java
  • Industry: FMCG – Food Manufacturing
  • Reporting to: Head of Factory Indonesia

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the manufacturing operations of the Cikarang plant, ensuring efficient production processes, high-quality output, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and team development in a lean manufacturing environment, while also overseeing engineering initiatives and project execution to support long-term factory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily factory operations to ensure smooth production flow, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.

Production Efficiency

  • Optimize production capacity, reduce waste, and improve productivity through lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Quality Assurance

  • Implement and maintain high standards of quality control across all production lines, ensuring compliance with HACCP, GMP, HALAL, and ISO standards.

Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and operators. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and performance.

Maintenance Oversight

  • Ensure timely maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and support operational continuity.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Manage manufacturing budgets, monitor costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing strategies with business goals and customer expectations.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and present regular reports to senior management with actionable insights.

Engineering & Technical Leadership

  • Apply root cause analysis and failure mode analysis to resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure equipment reliability through robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Design, review, and optimize technical solutions to address production challenges and enhance operational efficiency.

Project Management

  • Lead engineering and manufacturing projects from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors/contractors to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in FMCG food manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of food production processes, machinery, and quality systems.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams in a lean setup.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in root cause analysis, equipment reliability, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience in managing engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Familiarity with digital manufacturing tools and ERP systems is a plus.
