Senior IT Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer

We will be soon looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer with a strong background in cloud-native architectures, systems administration, and CI/CD automation, who will work for Earthlab Luxembourg (https://www.earthlab.lu/).

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, evolving, and operating the infrastructure powering EarthLab’s AI-driven platforms, with a primary focus on our flagship solution, Max-ICS. You will help build secure, scalable, and high-availability environments to support satellite data processing, AI workloads, and big data integration across domains such as defense, environment, and geospatial intelligence. You’ll work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and project managers to ensure efficient system delivery, observability, and lifecycle management. As a senior member of the team, your input will be essential in shaping the future of our infrastructure and DevOps capabilities.

Our proprietary Max-ICS platform facilitates seamless Earth Observation (EO) data integration, advanced EO data processing, and continuous AI model training, bridging the gap between raw satellite data and actionable insights.

What Is Expected From You:

• Lead existing IT infrastructure and monitor it performance to ensure its smooth operation and alignment with technical and business requirements.
• Configure and maintain hardware servers located in the data center.
• Propose and evaluate potential upgrades to the current technology stack, staying informed about emerging trends and technologies.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and tools, streamlining the software development and deployment process.
• Collaborate with technical leaders to automate processes across various aspects, considering business and technical constraints, configuration management, and security (DevSecOps).
• Create technical documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues across different teams, keeping them informed about infrastructure updates and potential issues.

What You Offer:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management and DevOps engineering.
• Deep knowledge of Linux system administration, networking, and storage management.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure as code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Mastery of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab,).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Mesos & Marathon, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English, and French is an asset.
