Job Description

Your Tasks:

► You will drive the design and implementation of application data models;

► You will implement data processing that satisfy the business requirements of Electric Control Unit Engineering and Manufacturing (ME ECU);

► You will lead a small team of Data Analysts and Data Engineers in projects responsible for technical solution, set standards for data engineering best practices;

► You will work with different types of data, data sources, infrastructure, existing building blocks (e.g. APIs, micro services, knowledge graphs, ...) in our ECU Engineering data platform;

► You will create and operate automated pipelines for data extraction, transformation and integration;

► You will implement strategies to ensure modular software with reusable components, defined data quality standards, and data lineage;

► In addition, you will be responsible for developing automated integration and orchestration of data architectures and pipelines for manufacturing and engineering solutions and AI model deployment.

Qualifications

► Completed university studies (master's degree or PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or a comparable subject

► Proven knowledge and experience in developing cloud-based solutions; ideally with minimum 4 years of relevant experience in software development with a focus on data pipelines;

► Strong programming skills in Scala or Java and SQL, and proficiency with data-lake providers (Azure Databricks preferred). Profound knowledge of Python is an advantage;

► Experience with containerization technologies  and orchestration tools (GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines);

► Familiar with distributed data processing frameworks and streaming solutions (e.g. Spark, Apache Kafka and Flink);

► Knowledge of data modeling and management concepts, pipeline deployment and monitoring, and data provisioning;

► Excellent problem-solving skills, team spirit, and ability to work collaboratively in a global team;

► Very good communication skills in written and spoken English and Hungarian.
