The Raytheon Operations, Supply Chain, Quality (OSQ) organization has an immediate opening for a financial analyst within its Supply Chain finance organization.
The team supports the Supply Chain organization in its material forecasting, risk & opportunity management, and financial reviews. The organization is a dynamic environment that affords its team members the opportunity to see the business from a top-down perspective while balancing the demands of accurate & integrated forecasting and managing risks and opportunities as they pertain to material financial metrics.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work with many levels of management and various functional organizations. The individual will be challenged to help develop and implement streamlined and consistent and reliable processes, procedures, and reporting in a changing environment. This will include training team members and key stakeholders.
The position requires that the candidate be self-motivated with a desire for data analysis and an ability to adeptly navigate APEX/PRISM (SAP), Business Warehouse (BW) or Analysis for Office (AO) and Excel. A proactive behavior to excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills are highly desired.
What You Will Do
- Monthly analysis, research and reporting to the Supply Chain Vice President and Directors on ad hoc requests
- Support consolidation and streamlining of reporting
- Supporting the development and maintenance of assigned program material forecasts and reviewing for reasonableness
- Support the analysis of the material spend outlook and related risk and opportunities and identify actionable items
- Actively facilitate meetings driving alignment, closure on actions, and understanding of issues
- Supporting other team members in technical and analytical financial growth
- Identify, support and implement process improvements
- Provide cost reduction ideas and project support
- Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- Experience in MS Office Suite, Power BI and Excel including Power Query.
- Professional experience in a related finance role
Qualifications We Prefer
- Excellent computer skills experience, which include a high level of proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel functions (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Macros, etc.).
- Experience with SAP (APEX, PRISM, Rplan, and Analysis for Office reporting or similar)
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop and readily apply solutions and process improvements
- Experience preparing presentation packages for executive level review
- Strong focus on process improvement and advanced problem solving skills
- Experience in transforming customer requests from data to information.
- Ability to lead other analysts in a results oriented environment to develop solutions for complex problems that will gain desired outcomes.
- Energetic self-starter with good organizational skills
- Prior experience in FP&A concepts, related systems, and processes
- Ability to teach advanced financial and planning skills to financial analysts
- Understand cost accumulation methods for direct labor including discrete charging and allocation pool charging
- Experience with APEX (SAP) and Business Warehouse (BW) and Analysis for Office, and PRISM
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and leadership
