AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. How you will create an impact

• You will evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business within various financial lines products, including but not limited to Cyber, Professional Indemnity (Errors & Omissions), Directors & Officers (D&O), Crime.
• You are expected to thoroughly analyze risk exposures, financial statements, loss histories, and other relevant information to determine appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing.
• You must develop a strong understanding of the cyber insurance landscape, including emerging threats, policy forms, and market trends.
• You will underwrite cyber liability, data breach, network security, and other related coverages.
• You will assess complex risks and develop tailored insurance solutions to meet client needs.
• You must adhere to underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and regulatory requirements.
• You will need to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
• You must effectively communicate underwriting decisions, policy terms, and rationale.
• You are expected to provide excellent service and support to intermediaries and insureds by doing product presentations and similar events
• You must participate in client and broker meetings and presentations as required.
• You will monitor and manage an assigned portfolio of accounts.
• You will need to collaborate with Claims and other departments to ensure effective management of risks and losses.
• You must contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting strategies.
• You need to stay informed about market conditions, competitor activities, and industry developments within Financial Lines and specifically cyber insurance.
• You must ensure all underwriting activities comply with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• You must maintain accurate and complete underwriting files and documentation.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance-related or Information Technology field.
• With ample experience in insurance underwriting, insurance broking or similar related industry preferably in Financial Lines.
• With basic knowledge of Financial Lines insurance products, underwriting principles, and industry practices.
• We also prefer if you have basic knowledge of Cyber Insurance or Cyber Security concepts.
• Having good analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making skills will help you thrive in this role.
• Similarly, strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills will also help.
• You must be able to build and maintain strong relationships with agents and brokers.
• Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• It will also be good if you are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and underwriting systems.
• You need to have good understanding of local insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
• You must be tenacious, motivated and proactive.
