Job Description:

What You’Ll Do

  • Support Corporate EHS & RM direction while tailoring programs to meet site-specific needs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards, as well as internal policies and audits.
  • Partner with regulators and serve as site liaison for inspections, permits, and reporting.
  • Lead site safety committee and cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Deliver impactful training, including new hire orientation, PPE programs, and emergency response preparedness.
  • Champion employee engagement through initiatives like near-miss programs, safety campaigns, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Implement incident investigation processes, identify root causes, and track corrective actions.
  • Analyze data trends and proactively develop solutions to reduce injuries, environmental events, and security risks.
  • Manage Workers’ Compensation processes, ensuring injured employees receive timely, quality care.
  • Program Implementation & Oversight
  • Maintain and update safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hearing conservation, industrial hygiene, and SDS management.
  • Ensure readiness of first aid supplies, AED testing, and compliance with health monitoring programs.
  • Support environmental compliance audits, sustainability initiatives, and reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with Operations, FSQ, Engineering, and Maintenance to embed safety into daily processes.
  • Represent the site in EHS & RM networks, roundtables, and best-practice sharing across the company.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to leaders and employees, reinforcing ownership of EHS at every level.

Other Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Participation in safety orientations for new employees.
  • Participation in administering plant hearing conservation program and annual audiometric testing.
  • Industrial hygiene monitoring and equipment maintenance.
  • Manage OptiCare – Virtual Nurse system
  • Maintaining Plant SDS Program using Sphera
  • Maintaining Brady Lock Pro (LOTO Instructions) for all machinery plant wide.
  • Support plant EHS Audits.
  • Technical lead for Lock Out/Tagout activities. 
  • Best Practice sharing between sites.
  • Lead Round Table review calls with EHS Leaders. 
  • Conduct site visits on an as needed basis to assist with program roll out, hazard mitigation, completion of Program Element Assessments and internal audits. 

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in EHS, risk management, or compliance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA/EPA standards; familiarity with safety information systems (e.g., SiteHawk, ISN, Alchemy) preferred.
  • Skills:

  • Expertise in hazard recognition, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Organizational agility and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
