What You’Ll Do:

We are seeking an experienced L3 Network & Security Engineer with over seven years of expertise in designing, managing, and securing enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on skills in troubleshooting complex network and security issues, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves serving as the highest escalation point for network and security incidents, driving root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Network Engineering & Administration

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks.
• Implement and manage routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, load balancers, and network segmentation.
• Monitor network performance, optimize bandwidth usage, and maintain uptime SLAs.

Security Engineering & Operations

• Deploy, configure, and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure gateways, and NAC solutions.
• Manage security policies, ACLs, and threat prevention rules.
• Implement DDoS protection, secure remote access, and intrusion prevention mechanisms.

Troubleshooting & Incident Response

• Serve as L3 escalation point for complex network and security incidents.
• Lead root cause analysis and develop permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Create and maintain network troubleshooting playbooks and escalation procedures.

Monitoring & Optimization

• Utilize network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, Nagios) to proactively detect issues.
• Perform capacity planning and ensure scalability for future growth.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure network and security infrastructure comply with relevant standards (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS).
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, topology diagrams, and change records.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Partner with IT, application, and security teams for seamless integration of solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training on troubleshooting methodologies.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), MPLS, QoS.
• Proficiency in enterprise firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower).
• Experience with VPN technologies, secure tunneling, and SD-WAN solutions.
• Proficiency in packet capture analysis and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Familiarity with cloud networking and security in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

What You Need To Bring:

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 5 - 8 Years in network and security engineering with advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
• Certifications (preferred): CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, CISSP.
