Job Title: Security Platform Engineer III Location: Bangalore (Splunk Logging Service)

Role Overview

As a Security Platform Engineer III, you’ll play a key role in enhancing and supporting our enterprise logging service . You’ll be responsible for implementing new features, managing onboarding requests, and providing technical support on escalated issues. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and deep expertise in security platforms and logging technologies like Splunk.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features within the existing logging service
• Manage and fulfill onboarding requests for the Logging Platform
• Respond to and resolve escalated issues related to logging and security tools
• Deliver timely troubleshooting support with a focus on root cause analysis
• Document solutions and contribute to a centralized knowledge base
• Communicate professionally with customers and keep them informed of case progress
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including senior engineers, service leads, and tech leads—to translate business requirements and resolve complex issues
• Support training sessions and workshops to continuously enhance team capabilities
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in security operations

 What You Should Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on expertise in Splunk, Sentinel, or equivalent enterprise logging solutions – 6 + years of work experience
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
• Foundational knowledge of cloud practices
• Strong troubleshooting experience in complex environments
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCSP
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning
• Customer-centric approach with a focus on service excellence
