Job Title: Security Platform Engineer III Location: Bangalore (Splunk Logging Service)
Role Overview
As a Security Platform Engineer III, you’ll play a key role in enhancing and supporting our enterprise logging service . You’ll be responsible for implementing new features, managing onboarding requests, and providing technical support on escalated issues. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and deep expertise in security platforms and logging technologies like Splunk.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features within the existing logging service
- Manage and fulfill onboarding requests for the Logging Platform
- Respond to and resolve escalated issues related to logging and security tools
- Deliver timely troubleshooting support with a focus on root cause analysis
- Document solutions and contribute to a centralized knowledge base
- Communicate professionally with customers and keep them informed of case progress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including senior engineers, service leads, and tech leads—to translate business requirements and resolve complex issues
- Support training sessions and workshops to continuously enhance team capabilities
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in security operations
What You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on expertise in Splunk, Sentinel, or equivalent enterprise logging solutions – 6 + years of work experience
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Foundational knowledge of cloud practices
- Strong troubleshooting experience in complex environments
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCSP
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning
- Customer-centric approach with a focus on service excellence
