Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Disability Support Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to:

About You
We’Re Looking For Someone Who:

- Experienced Professional: Has at least 1 year of experience working with children and teenagers in disability or related settings.
- Therapeutic Mindset: Applies therapeutic techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote positive outcomes.
- Flexible & Reliable: Willing to adapt to different shifts and provide consistent, reliable care.
- Communication Skills: Must be stellar—clear, concise, and professional communication is essential.
- Assertive: Confidently assert boundaries while maintaining professionalism and respect.
- Emotionally Resilient: Must not take things personally and be able to maintain a stoic demeanor when faced with challenging behaviors.
- Boundary-Setting: Strong understanding and ability to set and maintain professional boundaries.
- Mental Health Experience: Prior experience working with children facing mental health challenges is essential.
Additional Experience Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in NDIS or
- 1 year of experience in Child Protection, Residential Houses, or Juvenile Justice settings.
Essential Requirements
- Nationally accredited Certificate III or higher in Disability or Community Services.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Employee Working with Children Check (current).
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Check.
- Valid Australian driver’s license with a reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Trauma-Informed Care certification (desirable but not mandatory).
