Main Purpose Of The Role:

The candidate must have strong expertise in prime brokerage and equity/commodity derivative documentation, ideally with hedge fund experience, to join our legal team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our trading and client-facing businesses across APAC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate prime brokerage agreements, ISDA documentation, and other trading-related contracts.
• Advise on legal and regulatory issues related to equity and commodity derivatives.
• Support onboarding and documentation for hedge fund clients and institutional counterparties.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including compliance, risk, and front office teams.
• Monitor legal developments and provide strategic input on market practices and regulatory changes.
• Qualified lawyer in a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
• Minimum 6–8 years PQE, with substantial experience in prime brokerage and derivatives.
• Prior exposure to hedge fund clients or buy-side institutions is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of ISDA documentation and related trading agreements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
