Description

The Yale School of Medicine seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position that will carry an academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Department of Psychiatry, Interventional Psychiatry Service (IPS), based at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, CT. The faculty member will provide psychiatric consultations and evaluations for appropriateness for treatment with interventional psychiatric services, in coordination with outside prescribers, and then administer treatments, including electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and ketamine and esketamine at the Greenwich Hospital location of the Yale IPS. There may also be opportunities to participate in research protocols conducted through the programs through Yale. The role will also involve teaching and supervision of Yale medical and physician associate students who rotate through Greenwich Hospital. Additionally, during the initial ramp-up period of program growth and expansion, there may be need for providing clinical coverage on days when there are no interventional psychiatric treatments.

There are no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

Candidates are required to have clinical experience with electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and ideally will also have prior experience with ketamine/esketamine and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatments of mood disorders. Previous experience in clinical research is highly desired.
