Zayed University is a federal institution accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and provides high-quality education in English for over 9000 Emirati students, predominantly female, at our two campuses in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The Opportunity

Zayed University’s College of Business is seeking full-time regular faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor in Accounting for Spring 2026 and beyond at the Abu Dhabi campus. We seek individuals with the expertise and ability to teach ‘Accounting’ courses to undergraduate as well as postgraduate students. Preference will be given to the candidates with teaching and research experience in management accounting & control, data analytics, AI, and/or sustainability.

Faculty are responsible for melding their expertise and experience with the established course syllabus to create dynamic instructional delivery to enthusiastic Emirati and international students. Courses are typically taught in 100-minute blocks twice per week from January through to May (Spring semester), and from August through to December (Fall semester).

Normal teaching load is 12 credit hours (4 courses) per semester. However, faculty with an established record of research publications may get research release(s). Successful candidates are expected to conduct high-quality and impactful research leading to publications in recognized top-tier journals and actively perform appropriate departmental, college, and university service.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a PhD in Accounting from a university recognized by the UAE’s Ministry of Education. Degrees from AACSB-accredited universities are strongly preferred. Having a professional accounting certification is an added advantage. The candidate should have an excellent research record and/or potential to publish in leading academic journals and a commitment to effective, high-quality teaching and service.
