What This Job Involves:
As an Assistant Technical Manager at JLL, you will be the engineering and facilities management expert who drives excellence in maintaining our office buildings while fostering strong client relationships. This leadership role combines technical expertise with client-centric service delivery, requiring you to manage mechanical, electrical, and MEP systems while guiding and mentoring your team. You will play a crucial role in JLL's mission to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions that ensure safe, healthy environments for building occupants while continuously improving systems and identifying opportunities to exceed client expectations.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Manage and maintain mechanical, electrical, and MEP systems including HVAC, lighting, water supply, elevators, generators, and fire suppression systems
- Oversee maintenance and repair operations while conducting regular inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance issues
- Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce consumption and costs while managing budgets for maintenance, repairs, and client projects
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors on client projects and renovations while communicating with stakeholders to understand their needs
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the facilities management team, boosting staff satisfaction and morale through effective mentoring
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives while identifying opportunities to provide additional services to clients
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and customer service while developing training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in facilities management or building operations
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and MEP systems
- Proven leadership experience managing facilities management teams
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications in facilities management (CFM, FMP, or similar)
- Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and IoT technologies
- Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors on renovation projects
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
- Track record of implementing cost-saving and process improvement initiatives
- Experience developing and delivering training programs.
