YouTube Long-Form Video Editor

This is a remote position.

This role goes beyond YouTube editing, you’ll contribute across multiple media formats (podcasts, website videos, sales pages, ads, and experimental content), collaborate with other editors, and provide training and mentorship to elevate the entire creative team.

Flexible in MST Timezone - 20 hours a week but more related to the output mentioned below - i.e. the deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Edit and deliver 12+ long-form YouTube videos per month, scaling as production increases.
• Create motion graphics, animations, and branded video visuals.
• Use AI tools for editing, captions, color grading, and workflow automation.
• Contribute to podcasts, website videos, sales page content, ads, and other brand media.
• Experiment with short-form content editing to support campaigns and collaborate with the short-form team.
• Work closely with the Director of Marketing to advise on filming setups, video angles, lighting, and content direction.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior editors to build a stronger, scalable creative team.
• Build and maintain templates, AI-driven workflows, and scalable systems to improve output speed.
• Proactively suggest new editing styles, techniques, and visual strategies to stay ahead of YouTube trends.
• 4+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio of retention-focused YouTube videos.
• Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro; strong skills in After Effects, motion graphics, and animations.
• Proven experience editing a variety of formats: long-form, podcasts, web videos, and ads.
• Strong understanding of YouTube algorithms, storytelling, and retention strategies.
• Knowledge of video production best practices (gear, setups, framing, lighting).
