Provides expert education and mentoring for nursing staff, hospital administration, physicians, patients, families, and the community. Applies specialized knowledge, demonstrates skills and competencies in the delivery of nursing care.
Actively plans, participates, implements, and cooperates with clinical research. Responsible for developing educational programs and in-services, and leading interdisciplinary councils and committees. Serves as role model, mentor, and patient advocate.
Education:
- Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN or enrolled in a BSN program
- Preferred: Clinical Master's in Nursing in areas of specialization or Clinical Education
Experience:
Required: 3 years of experience in acute hospital-based nursing practice, in area of specialty.
Preferred: Previous CNS experience and/or past supervisory experience
Certifications:
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. AHA BLS.
