Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre is currently looking for Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join their Manufacturing Engineering team in Bengaluru, India, you will be part of a global team working on providing ME solutions to a wide range of Boeing products and services across the world. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) business organization.
A successful candidate will Lead the preparation of build plan, create assembly work instructions and drive process standardization for different Airplane commodities, Structures, Systems and Interiors as these positions will focus on working directly with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to provide Manufacturing Engineering solutions to a wide range of Boeing products and services across the world.
Position Responsibilities:
- Author build plan for Aircraft Structural assemblies, Systems and Payloads.
- Create Installation plan in CAPP/MES and Author work instructions.
- Lead the implementation of Standard works in assembly operations for Boeing products
- Ensure the prevailing Installation plans are audited and meet the defined standards.
- Continuously review the existing assembly process and drive process improvements
- Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
- Assist in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
- Supports the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
- Execute DFM and producibility studies for new product introductions.
- Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Investigate technical problems.
- Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
- Ensure compliance to company quality management system requirements.
- Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Technical Bachelor's degree or Master degree
- 4+ year of experience in manufacturing engineering role.
- 6+ year of related work experience in aerospace industry. Experience with Commercial aircraft platforms is desirable.
- Experience with Aerospace Manufacturing, Fabrication, Assembly Processes and Technologies.
- Experience with creation of manufacturing planning and authoring assembly work instructions.
- Knowledge of Drawing Interpretation & GD&T.
- Knowledge of Aerospace Materials and Processes.
- Aware of manufacturing execution systems like CAPP/MES, IPDM.
- Working knowledge with CATIA/NX Modelling software is an added advantage.
