We are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Research Assistant in the Department of Chemistry.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting research projects relating to sustainable chemistry;
• Assisting in the design and perform of experiments; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor in relation to the project.

The appointee will participate in research projects in the areas of Sustainable Chemistry. 

Requirements:

• A bachelor or master’s degree in Chemistry/Analytical Science or related disciplines;
• Preferably with extensive chemical laboratory experience (e.g. participate in practical final year project);
• Self-motivated, well-organised and meticulous; and
• An interest in postgraduate studies, as well as a passion for research and sustainable development, is desirable.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract, and the candidate is expected to enter the postgraduate programme shortly thereafter. For enquiries, please contact Prof. Matthew LUI at matthew-lui@hkbu.edu.hk.
